Bowes Lyon, Stevenage, 29/05/15
The buzz surrounding Suffer No Fools has been growing rapidly since their formation early this year, and from their headline show at Bowes Lyon on Friday it’s easy to see why. This is a band that love what they do, and are good at it, too. Hailing from Ealing, the band play through a strong set-list, including a cover of Killswitch Engage’s ‘My Curse’, which saw the front stormed by a crowd singing and thrashing to the skillfully mastered cover.
Vocalist Ali Khan has all the charisma and charm of a professional front man, interacting with the crowd and creating a memorable stage presence. Starting the set with ‘Forgiven or Forgotten’ and playing through guaranteed hits lile ‘Into The Breach’ and ‘Abyss’, Suffer No Fools demonstrated that the music they create has something very special to offer. It was my first time seeing them perform, but I’m certain it won’t be my last, because armed with an incredible first album and an appreciation for working hard, they’re going to take the music world by storm.
